Pastor Dennis L. Bergeson

Pastor Dennis L. Bergeson, 63, passed away November 10, 2009 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Duluth, Minnesota. Pastor Dennis was born in Estherville, Iowa on November 1, 1946 to Leonard L. Bergeson and the late Dorothy Bergeson (Damstrom). He attended school in Estherville, Pocahontas, and Spencer, Iowa. He graduated from Augustana College, Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Luther Theological Seminary in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Pastor Dennis was ordained a Lutheran Pastor in 1973 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Spencer, Iowa. He served as Pastor at Barronett/Timbland, Wisconsin for four years and was the current Pastor at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Solon Springs, Wisconsin for the last 32 years.
Pastor Bergeson is survived by: father, Leonard L. Bergeson of Ruthven, Iowa; sister, Doreen (Dave) Bush of Spencer, Iowa; Nephew and Niece, Mike Bush of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Amy Bush of Spencer, Iowa; other relatives and friends; his congregation at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church; and the community of Solon Springs all of which he dearly loved. Dennis was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy. |
