Doug, 1964 is a bit envious of your ability to whip up the school's Fite song when the webpage comes up.  Impressive!  I haven't quite figured out how that one works yet.

I am not officially on yet, just waiting for my opt in email.  Timing on this has worked out well.  I have been unable to get on the old class website for the last month or so.  My computer crashed and I could not relog in.   Just got back from a great trip to Alaska.  I will try posting a picture.

We need to get moving on plans for the class reunion.

We need people to contact restaurants create the yearbook, locate and contact classmates, etc. This all takes a lot of time.

Also, when should we have it?

Please get the word out, because a lot of members are not using this forum yet.

Thanks,  Tim

I vote for the September time frame, if anyone is counting votes.

We have posted a survey and  we are currently in the process of updating everyone's email addresses and we will send out an email blast to the class.  Tim is right, it all takes time. The survey is not static, it will evolve as we get more answers which generate more questions.  Keep checking back in with our survey!

Any time that you have a new system or in this case a new website there is going to be a bit of a learning curve.  Us old dogs are going to be learning a few new tricks.  When you first log on to the site it will take you to the home page.  I know, the class song is kind of neat the first time but it can get old so I just turn down the volume. Places that you will want to check out. "What's New" this is where we will post things to keep you up-to-date on news and happens with the class. you will also want to check out the "Message Forum" for any news posted there by other classmates.  Next check out "Clasmates Profiles"  There you can learn if there are any new classmates that have joined the site or if anyone has updatede their profile and it will also let you send a private message to another classmate without the rest of the class seeing your message.  Be sure to check out the "Message Center" on the left under Member Functions for any private messages that may have been sent to you.  Class of 65 50th Reunion is where you will find the survey on class opinions on our 50th reunion, check here often because we periodically add new questions.  You can also post your own announcements for the class under "Post Announcements"  The more you work with the site the easier it will be to find your way around.  Go Tigers!!!!

Thanks Sandra, my calender is marked!!!!   I have a couple minor edits to the record. It was in 1990 that we auctioned off the SHS Sweatshirts, cheerleader uniforms etc.  I remember because I was helping Bill Cook clean out a closet and he gave me all that stuff for the reunion.

In 1985 out at Stub's we had the SHS trivia contest and were divided up by grade schools. Questions were about SHS and prizes were gift certificates to long closed businesses that were opeating in the 60"s  Think White Music, a free LP album of your choice and Spencer Pack, a side of beef.

I am not sure we need class book for this reunion because we now have this up to date web page.

Personally I still like the yearbook idea. It is nice to have a hard copy handy in addition to the website.

As we become more comfortable with our new website I  wanted to make sure that everyone is taking advantage of all it has to offer.  On the Home Page for example there are some interesting features on the right hand side. As you scroll down you will find that there is a "This Day  in History" that will give you a glimpse back at what was happening in the 60's and there is also a Rewind section that reviews what was popular or news worthy on this day in 64-65.  That alone is worth the time to check in to the site daily.   Check it out, it's fun!!!!

I love this site!  The best part was hearing the band on the Home Page, many memories came to mind!  When I can I'll post a picture of me & my Mom who just turned...yes, 107!!  Amazing, right?  I've truly been blessed!  I hope this is the correct place to post this info.  If not, please tell me where it should go.

Okoboji Classic Cars

These aren't just murals. This is an actual recreation of Downtown Grand Avenue in Spencer on one side and Arnolds Park and the Roof Garden on the other.  It is a must see and will bring back a rush of memories and your will be blown away by the realism.m.
